History
The competence of the company has been built up during a period of 35
years of focused research and consultancy work within the parent company
Christian Michelsen Research (CMR) which e.g. resulted in the renowned
explosion simulator FLACS. GexCon was established as a brand name in
1987, but the gas explosion consultancy activity was formally separated
from CMR first in 1998. In 2000 GexCon took over all explosion safety
activities from CMR.
