Qualitative analysis

During the last decades GexCon has performed a large number of FLACS analyses and experience from these studies provides a solid basis for performing qualitative asessments of explosion risk.  There is a substantial number of parameters and conditions that affect explosion risk and qualitaive analyses can not incorporate all these effects and consequently these types of analyses becomes a lot less presise. Qualitative analyses can hovever, give valuable input in a design phase to asess the implication of design choices and identify potential problem areas. Qualitative analyses based on experience from FLASC analyses of similar installations may also provide general guidance on explosion loads and aspects relevant for explosion risk.
