Toxic gas releases
Toxic gas release would typically involve the releases from gas installations where H2S is present in sufficient quantities to pose a threat to human survival. Other examples of toxic releases could be accidental or deliberate release of higly toxic components in urban areas.
Although not truly a toxic release, large and sudden releases of non toxic gases such as nitrogen may cause oxygen depletion and pose a severe risk to personell by means of suffocation.
FLACS can be usued to assess the risk assosiated with toxic release or a releas that can potentially cause asphyxiation.
