FPSO study
FPSO studies usually involve probabilistic explosion analysies and the range of case studies that are often performed for other types of installation. FPSO studies are not fundamentally different from probabilistic explosion analysis but one needs to take into account some of the special features of FPSOs. Typical issues for FPSOs are safety gap distances, implication of gas drifting from one module to the other or clouds that envelope multiple modules, explosion risk on large confined cargo decks and implications to ventilations by weathervane vessels. A FPSO study would usually contain the same tasks as conventional probabilistic analysis but with some adaptations to account for the above mentioned issues.
