FLACS-CFD 20 will replace the current edition of the software (FLACS 10.9) this Autumn and has been re-written from the ground up to offer better integration and digitalization capabilities, improved workflows, and greater flexibility.
During this webinar, Chris Coffey, FLACS-CFD Product Manager, introduced the updated software and gave an overview of the following key features:
– Improved CAD import
– Access to the DIPPR database – access to 2,000 new chemicals
– New steady-state solver
– Improved visualization in Flowvis
About The Speakers
Chris Coffey
FLACS-CFD Product Manager
Chris Coffey is the FLACS-CFD Product Manager at Gexcon. He is responsible for the technical and commercial product management of the gas dispersion, explosion, and fire simulation software.
Chris holds a Ph.D. in Fluid Dynamics from Imperial College London and an honors degree in mathematics with Theoretical Physics from University College London. He is a Chartered Mathematician and also holds an MBA from the Open University. He has over ten years’ experience in fluid mechanics and technical safety, working in the academic, defense, and industrial sectors. He works across the industry using mathematical and computational modeling to analyze ventilation, dispersion, gas and dust explosions.
