When using a network license, Windows client computers intended to run FLACS sometimes have problems communicating via the network with the FLACS license server. In this case, the FLACS applications on the client (e.g. CASD, Flowvis, and the Flacs simulator) do not get permission to start and show an error message.
Setting explicitly certain timeout parameters may help to solve the network problems. On the Windows computer, create a file hasp_104628.ini containing the following lines:
Here you must replace IP_or_Hostname_of_Server by the IP or hostname of your FLACS license server (where the dongle is inserted into the USB port). For example, assuming that the FLACS license server at your site has the IP 10.14.43.297, then the file hasp_104628.ini would contain:
The file hasp_104628.ini should be copied to your user folder:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel LDK
Here USERNAME is your user name. If you are not able to see this user folder, then you may have to turn on the option to show hidden files first (an internet search for ‘windows show hidden files’ will give you guidance on how to do this).
If the problem persists, try to raise the parameter values to:
