The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Foundation For Innovation And Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi and with leading global agrochemical company UPL Limited in presence of Honourable Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg in Delhi 1: The MOU UPL Limited involves the use of Gexcon technology in UPL plants worldwide in Process Safety and Risk Management and set up ‘Centre of Excellence’ in ‘Process Safety and Risk Management’ for Pesticides and Toxic, Chemicals at Gujarat (India). is one of the leading global crop protection products companies headquartered in India.

The MOU with ICT Mumbai is focused on mutual benefits of academic relations at an international level to implement intensive cooperation on education and research collaboration to set up ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Process Safety Science and Engineering The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first-generation entrepreneurs. Under the World Bank TEQIP program, the Maharashtra government granted it full autonomy in June 2004. Due to the recommendations of the Government of Maharashtra and the University of Mumbai, the ICT was granted Deemed University Status by the MHRD on 12th September 2008, with all provisions of the UGC for funding and support as the state-owned deemed university. http://www.ictmumbai.edu.in/

The MOU with FITT is to promote education, research, and development in Process Safety in line with several global Universities. This will be achieved by the formation of COE as a joint industry project and donations and sponsored projects from industries.
