Gexcon is a very unique working environment in that it takes a research-like approach while at the same time allowing me to solve real problems for real clients. I’m constantly exposed to new challenges that have broadened my view of the world. I am always taken aback when I reflect on the knowledge that I now consider ‘common knowledge’ regarding fires and explosions—and I enjoy sharing that expertise with our clients to improve the safety of their facilities.

One of the best workplaces, I have come across yet (in all aspects), especially knowledge transfer, helpful nature towards all colleagues which has helped me grow professionally. while working with Gexcon, I could explore an altogether new domain and how safety-related issues could be addressed with CFD techniques is fascinating.

Gexcon provides a global working atmosphere, be it the vast scope of the projects (where I can apply the knowledge gained from my education and previous experiences whilst also comprehend new professional skills and expertise) or the diversity of the team (international exposure where I can grow personally).

I am very grateful for the opportunity Gexcon has given me to work in a pleasant multicultural environment with nice colleagues worldwide. Gexcon colleagues are like one big family around the world, and that’s what makes it such a special place to work. Even though I just joined Gexcon only for a short period of time, I believe that together we will continue to succeed in providing services to our clients.

Yuan Yee Lai

Principal Engineer

I find the work life balance excellent as I am able to plan my own work and discuss workloads openly within the team. I am typically out of the office three or four times a month on site visits and meetings which is a nice way to break up the working week. We have also had a number of organised team days and spontaneous meet-ups after work since I started which has been a nice way to get to know the team.
