We are pleased to announce that Gexcon will attend this year’s Hazards Australasia 2022, which takes place from September 25-27, 2022, at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Melbourne, Australia.
VP Hydrogen Safety Fiona Mitchell-Corbett will deliver a presentation on the latest developments from hydrogen fire and explosion research projects Gexcon have been involved with and Gexcon Australia Team Lead Derek Cross will deliver a presentation on the lessons learned from previous hydrogen incidents that have occurred over the years.
“It will be great to attend Hazards Australasia and share developments in hydrogen knowledge from recent research and development projects with the process safety community,” Fiona commented.
“I think this is a wonderful opportunity to share learnings from some of the hydrogen incidents that have occurred over time and the world with an Australian audience who may be less familiar with them. What I find telling from these incidents is that while hydrogen is considered to be a “new” industry a lot of the causal factors in these incidents are not. It again illustrates the old adage that there are no new accidents, just old accidents happening to new people. That is the message I will be trying to communicate through this session.” Derek commented
