We are pleased to announce that Shell FRED 2022 is now live and available for download.
Shell FRED 2022 replaces the software’s previous version (Shell FRED 2020). The new release includes updates in 3 main areas:
1. New models available
Completely updated and improved gas blowdown model, further improvements to the hydrogen dispersion model, missile generation calculations from pressure vessel failure, transient pool dispersion, and LNG flame impingement.
2. Extension to the feature-rich user interface
The interface has been further improved to let you work more simply and efficiently, which includes:
- a drag/drop interface to rearrange result tabs and map view
- control of the units used to display results
- functionality to associate a background image with a chart
- better search & filtering of scenarios/fluids
- more control of variants, and how they are displayed
- a facility to import/ export custom fluids
3. Complete migration of models from FRED 7.1
Pressure relief valve, Gaussian dispersion, TNO explosion, and smoke models are now available in Shell FRED 2022.
