LNG Model Evaluation Protocol (MEP)

LNG Model Evaluation Protocol (MEP)

Model Evaluation Protocol (MEP) was developed in 2007 to allow computational tools for vapor dispersion modeling to be reviewed. However, the 2007 MEP is very limited in scope as it only addresses vapor dispersion modeling from atmospheric dispersion, which means that there are currently no established protocols to evaluate models to simulate hazards such as the flammable or toxic dispersion of a vapor cloud from a pressurized release, etc….

Webinar: Beyond siting studies: Using advanced modelling techniques to resolve PHA action items

Webinar: Beyond siting studies: Using advanced modelling techniques to resolve PHA action items

This webinar covers a few examples of how PHA items are evaluated further using advanced modeling techniques in LNG facilities. Using 2D and 3D modeling tools allows asset stakeholders to better plan and prepare for plant activities while taking the necessary mitigation measures to reduce operational risk.

Webinar: Deciphering what regulations apply when siting your facility

Webinar: Deciphering what regulations apply when siting your facility

This webinar covers an overview of siting regulations and standards that apply to LNG facilities, with a special emphasis on those in the United States. Furthermore, we discuss what regulations apply to various types of LNG facilities.

Webinar: How to keep your LNG facilities safe. Advanced modeling to improve safety at your facility

Webinar: How to keep your LNG facilities safe. Advanced modeling to improve safety at your facility

This session talks about advanced approaches for modeling hazards in LNG facilities (e.g. toxic and flammable releases, jet and pool fires, and vapor cloud explosions). The discussion covers when it is appropriate to use analytical 2D tools or when it is appropriate to apply more advanced 3D CFD modeling tools.

Webinar: Is your facility safe? Lessons learned from LNG incidents

Webinar: Is your facility safe? Lessons learned from LNG incidents

The session focuses on examining case studies for two incidents that have significantly impacted the LNG industry: the massive 2004 explosion at the Skikda LNG Liquefaction Facility and the 1944 Cleveland Disaster.

Webinar: Do you know the 7 essential hazards at LNG facilities?

Webinar: Do you know the 7 essential hazards at LNG facilities?

This webinar provides a fundamental overview of LNG hazards that apply to various types of LNG facilities. Utilizing actual testing videos, participants could easily visualize and understand the potential exposure caused by these hazards.
