Our research engineer, Melodia Lucas, will be presenting a paper titled “Simulating Vented Hydrogen Deflagrations: Improved Modelling in the CFD Tool FLACS-Hydrogen” at the 8th International Conference on Hydrogen Safety (ICHS 2019) held on 24-26 September in Adelaide, Australia.
Melodia will present the new generation FLACS CFD solver, which further improves the accuracy of the combustion model for hydrogen deflagrations. She will show simulation results for experiments involving realistic hydrogen releases and vented deflagrations in 20-foot shipping containers.
