Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gexcon. Gexcon was represented by Mr. Sturle Harald Pedersen (CEO) and SWPU was represented by Mr. Guo JianChun (Vice President).
The MoU with SWPU is to promote scientific research, safety training, personnel exchange visits, and international exchanges. Both parties will support each other to hold training courses about explosion and safety for growing demand from Chinese customers. One of the purposes of this MOU is to integrate the operation and case application of the FLACS CFD software tool into a teaching program.
SWPU, the second petroleum university in the People’s Republic of China, was founded in 1958. It is now administered and supported by the Chinese Central Government and Sichuan Province Local Government, with the latter playing a bigger role. In 2013, SWPU was selected for the “National Basic Ability Construction Project of Western and Central China” and became one from 100 universities selected for the project. In September 2017, it was selected as one of the first “Double First-Class” world-class discipline construction universities in China.
