Dust explosion hazards still occur on a regular basis in the process industry causing injuries, fatalities, property damage, business interruption, and environmental pollution. Statistics show that there is a dust explosion in European industry at least once a day. Similar numbers would apply to the US. This is in spite of the wealth of knowledge available to prevent these from happening and to reduce their consequences to a minimum.

Dave Price is a recognized leading explosion specialist and extensively provides his services to the power; petrochemical; pharmaceutical; automotive and food industries. He has been involved with industrial explosions for in excess of 25 years, mainly serving the bulk material handling, oil and gas, petrochemical, and high-hazard industries providing safety and risk management with respect to process safety and explosive atmospheres, providing consultancy to predict, protect and mitigate dust; gas and vapour cloud explosions.
Dave also acts as an expert witness and accident investigator in relation to explosion incidents and delivers advanced explosion science courses on behalf of the IChemE.
