Title: The practical use of FLACS for EDF nuclear safety demonstration – User perspective
This presentation delves into the practicalities of combined consequence analysis and structural response studies, drawing on a case study conducted by Gexcon for EDF.
About the speakers
Josue Quilliou (Gexcon)
Josué Quilliou, a Principal Engineer at Gexcon, is equipped with an engineering degree in explosion and fire safety. With a tenure spanning over a decade at Gexcon, he has amassed significant expertise in consequence modelling. His global experience across various Gexcon offices has culminated in his return to France, where he now spearheads the company’s expansion into the burgeoning hydrogen market. Josué is passionate about enhancing industry safety standards by disseminating his extensive knowledge and experience.
Francesco Chillè (FCSolutionS)
Francesco Chillè, an alumnus of the Technical University of Milan, has been a driving force in advanced engineering services since the 1990s, focusing on gas dispersion, explosions, and structural dynamics in the oil and gas sector. His tenure at ENEL from 1991 to 2006 involved tackling explosive challenges related to electrical components and structural impacts. Collaborating closely with Gexcon, he led their Milan office before establishing himself as an independent consultant with FCSolutionS in 2015, leveraging his extensive experience in the industry.
